Education
Education: is the process of learning to apply, it is the learning how to do and the precursor to the ability to have.
In the United States, at this time, education is in a terrible disrepair. One of the chief causes of this is that politicians fare much better with voters who are ignorant, therefore they promote government indoctrination to the exclusion of almost all other possibilities.
Karl Marx and Frederick Engels in their 1848 epistle known as the Communist Manifesto wrote that: “10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc” This being among the ten methods of bringing down a representative government. Of course, education is not free. It never has been and never can be
America has been slipping over the last fifty years compared to other industrialized countries and according to some studies we no longer rank among the top ten.
The workable solution to education is twofold. Step one must be to teach children how to study and that is achievable. Step two is competition. Just as some schools compete for their football championships so can they compete for academic honors. Even more importantly parents should be able to choose which schools to send heir children to and parents should be able to choose to educate their children at home or not educate them at all if that is their desire. It should never be the involvement of the federal government whether or not children are educated. That would be the province of the free market and its demands.
I am very much in favor of education but I fail to see where the demands of some bureaucrat sitting in Washington, DC or in a state capitol, well removed from the business of making a living and career, should have more control over our children’s education than the parents.
