Power and its abuse
Power and its abuse
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This was said, appropriately by someone who wasn’t as interested in holding power as he was in observing it.
One of the reasons politicians never get the job done is the love of power. Why should they actually solve any kind of problem when they are continually re-elected to “work on it”?
Why do we keep putting the same people back in office just so that they can continue the work they never want to finish. An effective person would get the job DONE, and go on to the next. At least that makes sense to me. We need a more fair equitable tax system, why in the world do we not have it? We need better education for our future, why do we not have one? We need better health care, why has that not happened?
None of those have happened on a broad scale because of government interference in the lives of the people who are willing and able to bring them about. It is the refusal to do the job that keep politicians and bureaucrats in power. The promise that they are in office to bring about a better life is a sham, the promise is meant to mislead and dissuade further questions. The promise is a hidden message that they feel they are better than the rest of us but their activities show the truth. Power Corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
